FREE Social Dancing lessons with Rolands Dance Studio on Saturday, September 12th!

For the average person, learning to dance might be a way to avoid making a fool of themselves at a wedding or to get the exercise they’ve been missing. But social dancing is a great way to meet people and find a constructive social outlet. Social dance is a deeply collaborative and culturally rich dance form that is enjoyed in all parts of the world. They are practiced in duets or groups for social purposes – celebrations, ceremonies, parties, exercise, or just for fun. Social dancing is an amazing way to meet new people, pick up a hobby that’s as good for your brain as it is for your body, and improve your partnering skills.

You don’t usually need a partner to attend these dance lessons; because you’re learning how to dance with strangers, Roland and Catherine will rotate partners throughout the lesson so that students can experience different leads and follows. Lessons will focus on lead and follow skills, the unique counting and rhythm for each dance, and basic figures and how to cue them.

So come on out and add social dancing with Salsa to Swing and everything in between to your evening! FREE Dance lessons are 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with Rolands Dance Studio. 18 and up are welcome until 10 p.m. No cover before 9:00 p.m.
