About this event
The Loneliness Epidemic is real. Sometimes, we all need to talk with a REAL PERSON who is a good listener, without judgement or assumption. This service is for people looking for a friendly adult who can listen as they talk about whatever is on their mind, rant, complain, share ideas for feedback, or otherwise have a friendly conversation. Such conversations can help you think more clearly, overcome negative feelings, and relieve stress.
MEET NICK Hello! I'm Nick, and I'm a Writer and Game Developer in my 30s with experience teaching 6th-graders and running a non-profit. If you need someone to listen, I'm happy to help. To learn more about me, feel free to visit my website: www.kastelogames.com
HOW IT WORKS 1. RSVP to this event and pick up your session ticket to reserve this specific hour-long call slot. 2. Shortly before the session begins, you’ll receive a message here on Meetup with a Discord, Signal, or WhatsApp call Link (your choice). 3. Follow that link to join the call.
YOU CHOOSE THE TOPIC You choose the topic of discussion, and I agree to participate with my full focus and attention. If you aren’t sure where to start, then I’ll be happy to hear about your hobbies and interests. Almost all topics of discussion are allowed except for topics related to sex or illegal activity. Any advice or opinion shared during the call should be considered only a personal opinion, not an expert opinion or any form of professional advice.
AFFORDABLE AND SECURE For only $12, you gain access to a full hour-long conversation with a real human being. The call will take place over a private (voice-only) Discord Server. I respect your privacy and will never share your information with other parties. All our conversations are considered private and confidential and will never be recorded.
DISCLAIMER The friendly adult providing this service does NOT claim to be a licensed healthcare professional, therapist, or trained counselor. This is not an emergency mental health support line. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis within the United States, please visit 988lifeline.org or call 988.
