Join us for dancing, drums, Native American food and crafts, and so much more at the Denver Art Museum's 37th Annual Friendship Powwow. I will try to be early and have a sign ladies 30s 40s 50s for us to all meet in the lobby. I’ll also provide name tags for us to identify our group 😊 I’ll also post my personal phone number day of to help you find us. We can discuss any exhibits you’re dying to see before making our way thru. I’m hopeful the Native American food will be available during our journey for lunch and then if we have energy for more we can visit more exhibits. This is becoming an exciting annual trip for our group.
From the museum: Free general admission. Please register in advance.10 am to 5 pm, all are invited to join the DAM and the local Native community to enjoy music, dance, and art throughout the day. The celebration includes artmaking opportunities, local Native organizations selling fry bread and Indian tacos, as well as vendors showcasing jewelry, art, crafts, clothing, and more. At 11 am, the Grand Entry dance performance begins inside the Sie Welcome Center in Sturm Pavilion.
All are welcome! General admission is free for everyone all day on September 12, as part of the Free Days at the DAM program. Enjoy 20% of all items in the shops in celebration of Powwow.
