We the People: An Open Lecture on A People's History of the United States

In this session John will teach Chapter 17 — the Black freedom struggle from the Cold War through COINTELPRO: the Montgomery Bus Boycott, sit-ins, Freedom Rides, the March on Washington, the limits of civil rights legislation, urban rebellions, Black Power, and Fred Hampton’s assassination. Members are encouraged to complete the corresponding course lessons before attending.
