Calichi Trio Concert

Experience the artistry and expressive range of the Calichi Trio, featuring Duke Music faculty members Ieva Jokubaviciute, piano; Hsiao-Mei Ku, violin; and Caroline Stinson, cello.

The program pairs Johann Nepomuk Hummel's graceful and spirited Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 12, with Dmitri Shostakovich's powerful Piano Trio No. 2 in E Minor, Op. 67. Spanning contrasting musical worlds, these works move from Classical elegance and sparkling interplay to profound intensity, emotional depth, and dramatic urgency.

Together, the three musicians bring this compelling repertoire to life through intimate musical conversation, remarkable ensemble playing, and the rich combination of piano, violin, and cello.

This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
