About this event

Join ARTS at King Street Station for a night of intergenerational karaoke with host Lia Duz It and Heidi Grace Acuña.

Karaoke is loved by Filipinos across the world- seen at family parties, backyards, sari-sari stores, the beach, or anywhere with a speaker. We invite you to sing a song dedicated to your elders, ancestors, or descendants as an intentional message of gratitude or hope. This is a free, all-ages event hosted by Lia Duz It.

We Still Dream a Future is a series of free public art activations, installations, exhibitions, performances, and learning experiences designed to help us dream, learn, and grow, taking place throughout the Downtown core.

Gallery hours are Wed. - Sat. 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.; First Thursdays 11 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Artist bio: Heidi Grace Acuña (@heidigraceacuna: https://www.instagram.com/heidigraceacuna/) Heidi Grace Acuña is an artist who creates to live. Born in Federal Way, Washington to immigrant Filipino parents, and raised on O‘ahu since one year old, Heidi felt disconnected to a true sense of home and belonging. Now, Heidi makes art that finds the beauty in the multiplicities of identity, culture, gender, and home. HGA’s interdisciplinary work in ceramic sculpture, fashion design, installation, and performance aims to create a legacy for our descendants where they may thrive beyond borders of identity, place, or possibility.

Lia Duz It (@empathbaby206: https://www.instagram.com/empathbaby206/) Thalia, also known as Lia Duz It, is a Seattle born & raised Chicana entertainer, host, and multidisciplinary creative from the DubCee. Her work moves through photography, art, community, and live experiences, creating spaces that feel alive, connected, and a little unexpected.

Often behind a camera, on the mic, or cooking up her next creative venture, Lia brings a whole lot of personality wherever she goes. She’s fly, she’s funny, she’s a little odd, and somehow always leaves the function with a new homie.
