About this event

Join ARTS at King Street Station for a grief workshop hosted by A Resting Place where you are invited to participate in healing arts activities, as part of the Visions of Worldbuilding exhibition.

Grief takes many shapes. It lives in our bodies, our memories, our relationships & the ways we move through the world. Some losses are visible, while others are carried quietly.

Presented by Derek Dizon, founder of A Resting Place, as part of Visions of Worldbuilding, this workshop series invites participants to explore grief through creative expression, reflection & remembrance. Through mask-making and letter-writing, we’ll make space for the many ways we experience loss, honor those who came before us & give shape to what we carry.

These gatherings offer a gentle space for creativity, connection & collective care, honoring grief not as something to overcome, but as something we learn to tend. All experiences of grief are welcome. No artistic experience is necessary.

We Still Dream a Future is a series of free public art activations, installations, exhibitions, performances, and learning experiences designed to help us dream, learn, and grow, taking place throughout the Downtown core.

Gallery hours are Wed. - Sat. 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.; First Thursdays 11 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
