About this event
For the first time ever, an exceptional selection of masterpieces is crossing the Atlantic and coming to the United States. In From the Louvre: Masterpieces of Islamic Art: https://asia.si.edu/whats-on/exhibitions/from-the-louvre-masterpieces-of-islamic-art/, you can admire remarkable artworks created between the seventh and nineteenth centuries from a vast geographic area that extends from Spain to India. In these exclusive tours, curator Simon Rettig shares the extraordinary journeys these works took and explains how they were invested with power and meaning along the way.
Please meet at gallery 23 for the tour. We recommend you register in advance.
